Weather app not working

I have a new trophy LR. The weather app not working seems to be a common fault. On contacting Mg I was told to check all permissions were accepted, then search in the app for my nearest city. This didn’t work and I get the implementation has failed try again message. On scanning through the settings on my car I notice it’s not connected to any WiFi despite several available networks being shown. One of the networks which is ee is not locked. I hear that the car has a built SIM card. Is this on the ee network and should I connect to it?

Any help on making the weather app work gratefully accepted.

The built-in eSIM is on the Vodafone network we believe. Connecting to a WiFi network has no relevance to the eSIM data connection.

Assuming you've not used up all your monthly allocated Data, the head unit may need reactivating.

Hi, I had similar issues when I got my car in December, I needed a software update - they don't do the updates automatically. Updated to release R63 and all is good
