What car recently put this out.

Some interesting conclusions:
  • Tesla most efficient by some margin
  • MG4 joint sixth most efficient, mid-table
  • Many cars overestimate or underestimate their efficiency by a lot, MG4 and Tesla spot on accuracy, BYDs and others lie a lot. (could this be down to calibrated speedo or not?).
  • None of the cars get more than 75% of their WLTP range.

In particular this tells me that you might try a different make and think it is much more efficient, but it is actually misleading, you can't necessarily trust the efficiency number.

Yes it is an ER, they make that clear.

To be fair - I don't think manufacturers quote summer / winter ranges, so all they have to go on are the WLTP figures. But all the cars were tested together so really the weather conditions were the same and shouldn't be a factor.

Oh, I apologise, I'm thinking of a different video, I haven't watched this one. So many tests, so hard to keep up!
You're thinking of the Electrifying video, where the mileage equated to that of the Trophy ER yet the results table stated the model as being the Trophy LR. (And speaking of that, Ginny hasn't replied to my follow-up email).
