What gear position in slopes?

1. Should I always use the hand brake or the parking P on the gear wheel?

2. In traffic lights, should I go to neutral N or keep D position while keeping the brake engaged? What if I am using "one pedal", should I change from D to N?

Like a motorbike, I keep it in gear in case someone comes hooting up behind me and I need to boot it

I use the hand brake P on my MG5.
Rarely use the P on the dial just turn the car off

P comes on automatically when you turn it off

You have auto hold. Depending on your situation it either engages by itself or you just press hard on the brake to engage it.
