What is this???

So, the wife had the parcel shelf out today. I put it back in, drove a bit, filled the boot and drove home.

I then noticed the parcel shelf wasn’t properly on the lugs so I open the rear door, lean in and bang the shelf down. Something jumps and lands on the rear seat. And I cannot for the life of me see where it has come from or what it is.

It’s very soft rubber. I’m guessing it’s from somewhere in the boot / rear seat area.

If anyone can put me out of my misery I’d be eternally grateful.

Its one of the "bumpers" that fit into the outer edge of the shelf where it meets the boot.

Open the boot and look along the edge of the shelf facing you.

There are 2 of those on the rear edge of the parcel shelf - the bit nearest the tailgate

I was looking in completely the wrong place, and I’m old and as my wife says ‘as blind as a f&@£ing bat’.
