What size charge lead comes with the MG5?

Hi,

Just purchased a 2nd hand 2021 MG5 that's due to be delivered this week. I've tried to google this and search through the forum, but I can't see the answer anywhere. Can anyone tell me the length of the standard 3pin cable that comes with the car?

I'm trying to check if it'll actually reach my mains or if I should order an extension now before the car arrives. I will be getting a charge point at some point but probably not for a month or two.

I'm going to say approx. 4 metres. Bear in mind plug needs to be indoors or in a waterproof socket (the plugs are bigger than a standard plug so don't fit all outdoor sockets). The rest of it is 'splashproof'.

Just the standard. I work from home and very, very rarely do anything over a 100-mile round trip. It was a decent enough price and the waiting list for new was too long.

Well hope you like your new car when you get it and look in Argos for say the ev charger when you get it fitted if not from the people that fit it a type 2 cable

I tried out the 3 pin plug and it was very short, too short if my car is beside the socket, I actually have to have it within 2m, so nose in.

I have bought a Tough Leads 10m 3-pin to 3 pin extension to compliment my EU socket to 3-pin converter lead. and extend the granny cable.

My LEAF has a 5m cable!
