What Was Your CB Radio "Handle"?

There was one in central Stockport. I went there loads as a teen too.

They had the wrong price on a mag mount CB aerial and I tried arguing they should sell it to me at that price, but failed miserably...

But I bought other stuff from there like a stand alone cassette deck and turntable which I'd kill for now as I'm wanting to dig out my cassette and vinyl collection.

Maybe we should turn this thread into "reminiscing for old people"... you bring back memories for me too as a young teenager (maybe a bit before that) with my first electronics kit from Tandy - like this one...

Love it. I’ve just sent a kit to my 14 yo Granddaughter to assemble a solar tracking array to charge her phone. Might at least shock her into some electrical stuff ?

I put a new chip in my FM rig and got extended channels into the european frequencies. Talked to some interesting people all over Europe.

When I bought my first VCR, an Amstrad VCR 4600, the first film I got was SATB.

Watched it countless times! I still see things in it today that I have missed!

Apparently, they had an absolute hoot filming it. They used booster rockets to get the Trans Am over the river.

According to Burt himself, they wrecked 3 out of 4 Trans Ams during the filming, but whether that was all down to the river crossing or not, IDK!

Sales of the car took off overnight and the President of GM promised Burt a new one every year. One year, he didn't get one so he got in touch. Turned out the President that made the promise had left or died (depending on which story you read) and his replacement did not keep to the agreement!
