When will MG fix the auto start feature?

I just bought the MG4 and noticed that the auto start feature was so bad UX.

The case:
Sitting in the car to wait for family to do grocery, just a little movement starts the electric system automatically and turns on the light, that makes another car think that I will drive away and wait for me to drive off the parking lot.

Please, if MG notices this thread, improve some steps to confirm that the driver wants to start the electric system and add a toggle for it. This is so bad UX.

I toyed at one time of adding a Start button in-line with the seat switch, so you sit in the car without it automatically starting.

Yeah, agree. It's the most ridiculous system I have ever seen. The MG does far too much when you sit in the drivers seat, it's just not necessary. I can't even imagine why they did this.

That's the problem though, if you do that, and remain in the driver's seat and shuffle your bum, it powers up again.

Also, if my whole family is in the car but waiting for me to load more things from the house and drive them, unless i sit in the seat, they cannot sort out the airconditioning or music.

So, someone needs to press hard on the driver's seat in just the right place before the car is ready.

And fully agree, i needed to explain i am not leaving the parking spot too many times

I think he means after you've turned the car off in the menu.

Just unlock the car, sit in then get out.
