For anyone wanting to compare the annual costs of the tariff they are currently on to a different offering to see whether it's worth switching, please see the attached spreadsheet. It can be difficult to decide as standing charges vary and rates vary by area and of course your own usage, but this should provide you with a tailored to your usage guide.
It's nothing fancy just a simple comparison. Enter you current supplier details and those of another tariff. That is the daily standing charge, peak rate, and off peak rate in the green coloured boxes.
You will of course need to enter your annual usage both peak and off-peak. through messing about you don't have to be bang on if you don't have the number to hand but a good ball park will provide you a good idea of the total annual cost of the two tariffs.
Only enter details into the green boxes, do not enter anything into the white boxes.
Click on the link below to download the spreadsheet and then open it to use.
(Feel free to scan it for bugs if you feel the need
)
Depending on your setup, because you are downloading this from the internet a box may pop when you open it warning that that you need to click it to enable editing, do so.
