I was wondering why is there not a 9kW home charger available on the market, as I have an electric shower that is rated at 9kW?

There are 22kW home chargers available. However, they require:
  • A 3 phase supply to the home
  • A vehicle that has the ability to charge on AC at that rate
Both MG EV models can only charge on AC at approximately 7kW max. So, they cannot take advantage of a higher powered residential AC charger.

If the cars onboard charger could take 9kw and the "type 2" connectors were redesigned and uprated to handle 9kw, I don't think there is any technical reason why you couldn't do this in theory.
In practice, type 2 connectors are spec'ed to 32amps max.

11kw chargers are basically three 3.3kw (16amp) chargers, using a three phase supply.
22kw chargers are essentially three 7kw (32amp) chargers using a three phase supply.

As bb1922 has said, both MG models only support single phase and max out at 7kW so it's all academic.
