Why Separate boards for the MG9 and MGS9?

Are they that fundamentally different that they need separate boards?

Yes, they are completely different cars. The MG S9 has more of an SUV style like a Tesla Model Y.
The MG9 is more of a saloon like the Tesla Model 3.
If you have a look at the threads I created you will see that these are different cars with different model numbers in China.
