Wireless Carplay

Hi,
I have recently purchased an mg 4 and am wondering what adaptors people are using to get Wireless Car Play to work. I have got oe and set it up BUT i have to remove the adaptor and replace it every time i get in the car for the carplay to load up. Am i doing soemthing wrong or is there a specific adaptor people are using to get it to auto connect once they get into the vehicle and auto connect? Thank you

Simple answer is go into the settings on your adapter and change the start up delay to 30 seconds or so

I have been using one of these small low cost units from Aliexpress. It seems very reliable and is so cheap it's worth a try.

I set my adapter to 40 seconds and it works every time. I could probably set it to 30 seconds and still be fine, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I actually did change it to 30s.

It's very easy ... just plug the device into a USB power source (or a computer, but not the car) and connect your computer to the device WiFi network, then browse to the IP address of the device. Once there you can change some settings, one of which is the start up delay.

The exact method of setting up the delay though will depend on the specific device you're using. And it's not anything to do with Bluetooth (unless your specific device is connected to via Bluetooth).

ok, sorry. Im struggling to connect to the wifi dongle. its in my pc atm

Wireless LAN adapter WiFi:

my ip address to login to dongle is 192.168.8.104 ? But it doesnt work. im not really clued up on this guys so any help is appreciated!

Thanks guys for your help, i plugged the dongle into a power bank and tried various ip address. I got in and set delay, Will try it out in a bit when i leave off work!!!

Just to let you know that it worked and now the car play boots up after 50 seconds. Thanks to all of you that advised me Much Appreciated
