I really do not like the wireless charger in my ZS EV Trophy. It heats the phone too much and in return charges very slowly. But I want to use that space to put my phone and any other stuff I want to. The manual says to avoid putting other stuff there, especially metals.
Is there a way to completely shut off the wireless charger?

You could try pulling out the fuse for the wireless mobile phone charger.

I just have to say i agree.

Heats up the phone substantially, and does not charge very fast.

Maybe it's up to the individual phone make and model, because the charging coil can be positioned at different "heights" in the phone, but my Oneplus 9 is hot and slow charging.

If you can find something made of plastic 5mm-10mm thick and put that between the charging plate and the phone, the distance should prevent inductive charging.

My S21 does get warm but nowhere near hot. As you say, I think it depends on the phone type.

I do find that the phone does stop and restart charging depending on road surface. Bumpy and it is complaining! ?

I prafer to use a cable and phone holder in heater vent. That leaves charging plate free for whatever you want to put there.

I'm surprised you can't turn it off, every mW counts IMO. ;)
