My 12 day old MGS5 Trophy is extremely good, great value and nice to drive, very economical on its first long drive to Wales last week.
But I can't get the wireless phone charger to work!

I've tried obvious things, including removing the protective cover, restarting the phone, searching for an online solution, but still not working, but strangely it works on the MG4, with or without the protection case.

WTF is happening? Am I missing something obvious?
HELP!

Possibly something to do with the fuse box when fitting the recent dash cam, but I used spare (empty) fuses, but I will check again today.

My Android phone wireless charges even with the case on just by placing it on the charging pad not in the slot in-front of it.
Thanks Ian @Ian Key, apart from mine not working on the S5, but works on the 4, I cant see an answer as yet, it may be a fault with the car, it could possibly be a didsplaced or blown fuse, but just in case I've missed something, I thought it worth trying posting here.

Next step for me is to check the fuse diagram (which I've just done) and then the car fuses.

I'm hoping I may have stumbled on a potential problem, according to the manual, the fuse for wireless charging is F45, potentially I've used the same fuse for the dash cam ie F45 for the parking mode, being permanent live (I thnk and hope!) I think that is the very fuse giving me the problem.

Investigation continues!

JUST as I'd suspected, it was the piggy back fuse which appears to be the problem, taken it out and replace the original 5 amp fuse, I've now got wireless phone charging again.
One problem solved, I've now got to find an empty (if possible) permanently live fuse tap.
Thanks to all who have racked their brains for a potential solution, I just need help with finding a permanent live fuse now.

UPDATE.... All sorted I found F33 is not only empty, but permaent LIVE.
Up and running again, PERFIK!
