Could any body assist with the following question please.
I do not want to use the USB on the mirror unit as mine will work when stationery so protecting me against issues whilst parked. As the unit needs a switched and non switched supply.
Chosen cigarette socket as switched.
My question is does any one know which is permant live.
Thank you for any help

Better than trailing cables, hardwire it into the fusebox using the appropriate size piggyback fuse taps. Doesn't take long or need specialist skills. If you're going to use a parking guard mode, make sure the dashcam has a feature to monitor the accessory battery voltage and turns itself off before the 12V drains.

It quite easy to find a permanent live with a cheap volt meter or a bulb test pen when car is powered down on the fuse bord
There is a fuse 13 is for drivers seat can you adjust seat when not powered up? There is a diagnostics line on fuse 2 that could stay live fuse 3 is alarm fuse 11 passive entry
