X Power First Service.

mines been r59 for quite some time now i think well its the update where they changed the LKA buttons to a easier turn off drop down menu ,,
LKA is still terrible at times in the middle of the lane and it tugs the car around ..( not as bad as before but still annoying )

As for the blue tooth connection ive gone to a wireless carlin kit 2 air purchased of ali express for $55 aud ( recommend using pay pal for all purchases there) and for the most part its much better ..

I just let it start to load up pull the plug and re insert it and bang wireless apple car play so not exactly seamless but it sure beats trying to connect the bluetooth connection which can be a pain trying to pair it after it often unpairs ..

Its the worse system ive ever had in a car my 2012 volvo paired better with my Iphone than my 2023 mg
every time bang the volvo would just pair with my phone ..

The mg is just plain stupid loses connection then cant find my phone the phone cant find the car and when if finally figures it out yay ..

then next day unpaired again !!

even the loan cars i had the mg hs the mazda cx3 , corolla and the kia stoic was a one pair and forget system !!

I'm on R40 and I can say that I don't have anything that really bothers me. I don't turn anything off when I set off other than switching to regen 1 to keep my discs clean. I have an Android Auto bluetooth dongle (without start up delay) and 99% of the time if starts fine and eveything connects. LKA works fine as I drive inside the lines and indicate, plus I'm strong enough for it not to be an issue if it has a little tug. Only had one unexpected emergency stop in 1 year, 10.5k miles.

Amstrad didn't go bust they are alive and well in are cars

Grammar police: "our cars" :p

I can't find any reference to suggest that's the case anyway. BSkyB bought Amstrad, and ultimately fully absorbed them. The name has been bought but that's for "digital marketing and SEO" (i.e. clickbait production:mad:).

If Amstrad had produced the MG4's software it would probably work better😉but the hardware...

Harrogate MG Dealer sorted charging problem and authorisation/access to Sat Nav.

I would advise get all updates done to deal with LKA/AEB/screen blackout etc and just check charging before you drive away.

IMO better to get all updates to improve car software/function…

We'll they did the service with me asking them not to update any software, it's on R40 still, but when I got it back the road sign detection was swiched off, which it's never been off before, so I don't know if they did do something software related.

Didn't get any info about battery SOH which is a shame, but I'm only interested from a general point of view as it's not my car.

Wish mine would stay off. It's somewhat less useful than a chocolate fireguard. Every time I get in the car I turn LKA and that speed limit recognition nonsense off. I have to do it quicky though, otherwise android auto starting up interferes with it. Only car I've ever driven where I have to go through a pre flight checklist before going anywhere...
