Looks much better Hans. Only one problem: according to MG Belgium installing this voids your warranty……

To be fair, don't think some bother and don't blame them. It looks great.
And would only void, anything to do with your steering, nothing else. And almost certainly, nothing will go wrong. 🙂👍

I'd be more worried about voiding my insurance in the event of an accident happening whilst navigating a roundabout. There's no way they're paying out once they see that yolk on a none progressive steering system car...

This is factory product and an investigation would have to conclude that was the cause. Which could prove inconclusive. I suppose depends on your lawyer's abilities in the courtroom.

Not for this market it isn't, I'd not fancy my chances in court if the accident was my fault whilst driving with a yoke!

Agree to a certain extent. But it will almost certainly never happen. You could go through life thinking, what if this happens, what if that happens. You can't live your life like that. You'd never do owt.
🙂👍
Don't disagree and I'm usually a rule breaker anyway. Just the whole yoke thing get's me a bit, was the same when I had a Tesla and some were fitting yoke's. A few did crash when manoeuvring with them. (But they're Americans, so probably can't drive properly anyway!)

I mean people are and have been using it for over a year. Lol not many Cyberster accidents so far. Despite the blistering pace. Owners are mostly mature owners. Some youngsters here and there in places like India, China etc. a simple ding at a car lot wont invalidate your insurance. Its not in this market but its still a manufacturer created product. We can attribute the weird steering system to also be a cause for low speed accidents. The long front end or the sudden speed of the vehicle. It can happen with any steering wheel type. Again inconclusive unless theres interior footage of struggling to maintain control

The next Cyberster will most likely have progressive steering @saicmg.

Life is a risk. I can be minding my business and get hit by another car. Setting off a chain of events. But depending on your beliefs It hasn't happened because God is on my side and im also careful not to abuse power or take things for granted. A quote from the movies that sticks with me, "with great power comes great responsibility".

As with any modification, you obviously do need to inform your insurer if you change the steering wheel.
As per the Financial Ombudsman:
QUOTE:
Whatever changes you’re considering making to your car, it’s important that you inform your insurer as soon as possible.
If you make a claim without notifying your insurer about any significant changes, your policy may be invalid because the insurer might say that the modifications mean that:
  • your vehicle is at a higher risk of being stolen
  • they would have increased your premium if they’d known about the modification
  • they wouldn’t have continued to provide cover for your car if they had known about the modification
