MG3 Hybrid+
So what will you trade up to after your MG3 Hybrid? Is it a transition step to full EV? Keeping it forever? Switching brands?
I am leaning towards trading up to a 2025 MG ES5, full EV, which is based on the MG4 platform. Sticking with MG, I need a bit more room.

The ES 5 looks impressive alright, and I will be interested in seeing how it shapes up in the metal when it arrives. I might even take it for a test drive, but I plan on hanging on to my MG 3 Hybrid for a few years, as it suits my present needs. Don't worry, I'll turn the lights out when I'm leaving, and you are all gone.

I think I am steering towards the New Nissan LEAF as my next car. It qualifies for the government grant so I will be hoping to get the top spec Evolve it isn’t much more than what I paid for my 23 plate Trophy which was from new. Good reviews on YouTube and the extra range will come in handy when I do the long trips.

That's a good shout, particularly if you need a bit more space than the MG4.

The LEAF is surprisingly efficient and aerodynamic.

Plus its made in Britain with a plant running mostly on wind and gas powered electricity rather than Chinese coal (plus wind and solar).

Personally I'd still just go for the new MG4 if our car was written off (assuming a great offer available much less than RRP). MG4 is lighter and I like having LFP batteries.

LEAF is appealing, though, and would be on the shortlist for me if we needed a new car.

I must admit I was looking at the Leaf for my next car until MG introduced the much improved 2026 MG4. :)
