How accurate are the ZS range predictions and has anyone seen a big change? The predicted range on our 21 ZS Exclusive always seemed accurate until the dealer did software updates in March (FVCM, FDR, BMS & IPC).
Typical fully-charged range before the update was around 159 miles in economy mode. Straight after the update it was 219 miles. This seemed more than a little unlikely and of course was wrong. I hoped the software would sort itself out over a battery cycle or two. It has improved a bit but range is still v high. Unfortunately the range left seems to reduce rapidly towards the end of the battery capacity. When the range was saying 80 miles we drove 25 miles and the range had dropped to about 15 miles by the end.
The trip also shows ever-increasing mi/kWh over multiple journeys. We typically get 3.6 mi/kWh per journey but the trip average value keeps getting higher and higher (4.4 mi/kWh or even 4.8 mi/kWh) until reset. Fortunately resetting the trip puts the predicted range back to a more normal value.
