I don’t often charge my ZS EV TC LR to 100%, but I have a 240 miles round trip to do today. Charged to 100% it should allow me to do this trip without having to rely on charging at a Rapid Charger.

Interested to know what you actually get today. Good luck! (not that I think you'll need it!)

Good luck with your journey, but if it was me I would be trying to put it on charge at your destination for a little bit to ensure not having to stop on way home. My main concern would be any motorway/dual carriageway driving could eat approximately 25% extra out of the battery depending on your driving style.

Yeah I think he should stick it on a rapid & spin the wheel 👍

A predicted range of 290 miles ?.
Have you, or did you reset both of your trips prior to this new longer journey?.
Are you going to take on this unknown covered trip, trip based on the face value of this 290 miles of range Michael ?.
If you DO decide to take on the whole around trip without charging, on your return home observe your remaining SOC, then before powering down, reset your accumulative trip and see what effect it has on the remaining range on the GOM.
It will be very interesting to hear what actual miles you cover vs the predicted 290 miles of range shown on the GOM.
Efficiency and weather conditions for the trip will be extremely informative !.
Drive carefully and have a safe trip, please report back on your findings !.
Thanks 👍.

With a WLTP range of 273 miles, I would be confident that 240 miles would be doable without having to top up, in warm weather and driving steady.

With that sort of consumption I don’t see this being a problem :)
How!? I am not crazy fast driver mostly using cruise control and I rarely go above 3.5 mls/kWh. Did you drive that on eco, behind lorry with no Air con and radio or is that somehow your regular result?

Ha ha :)

I now always drive in NORMAL mode.

HVAC is always set to 21 deg with everything on Auto.

There was no motorway driving for this section of the ride, just town and country A and B roads.

Outside Temperature started at 18degC and rose to 23degC, so good for range.

Average 38mph. Wonder how long the tailbacks were 🤭

Your number is very good, even going 50mph on a slightly downhill route I get about 4.6miles/kWh. If the return is "uphill" expect quite a bit less than 5.3

If I get anything around 4miles/kWh for the day I will be well pleased. I just don’t like using Rapid Chargers if I can avoid it due to the stupid prices they now charge for the electric.

Looking forward to actually getting mine so I can see what type of efficiency I can achieve. Probably be winter when mine arrives.

Between this and a couple of others we've seen some good mls/kWh returns, which is promising:
I actually got around to doing the 245 mile trip I had planned to do a few weeks ago.

Fully charged to 100% and off to Kingston-Upon-Thames and back.

Maybe we should have a 'Real World Energy Consumption Thread' same as for the MG5

EV database gives real world range of 225 miles and efficiency of 3.3 miles/kWh. At this time of year, avoiding motorway speeds that is probably pessimistic.

Be the change you want to see in a world and start one :)

I've seen 3.5 miles/kWh at motorway speeds (i.e 70mph) at this time of year.

Although working it out based on 3.3 miles/kWh gives a bit of broken charger wiggle room.

Saw as low as 2.5 miles/kWh in the winter though at similar speeds, admittedly during storm Franklin though.
