New MG4 Shipment?

I preordered in august and dealer told me it would be in the first batch then October. They still don’t know if it’s been made or in transit
I also ordered in August and my dealer has informed me that the next batch he is expecting, including (he hopes) my orange Trophy, will be due into Portbury on the Grande Houston around the end of the month (it's currently in the Med heading into Barcelona).
That translates to being PDI'd and ready to pick up around the middle of November (assuming mine is on board!).

For those of you with a car on the Goodwood - it’s nearly here.

How do you find out which transport your car may be on? Is there somewhere with a schedule/manifest of VINs?

Do we know how many came off the Grand Venus? is there anyone on the forum with a car of that ship?
Be interested to see if any of that shipment have the same issues as the first batch!

I know my car is due at the dealer on Friday (21st) - I saw the manifest of expected vehicles (for the Arnold Clark group) in the showroom when I placed my order. I don't know what that tells us re. which transport it was arriving on.

I think the Grand Venus arrived on 7th October, so the car getting to the dealer on 21st sounds reasonable. The Grand Houston (which is hopefully carrying mine!) arrives in Bristol this Saturday, 22nd.

So 2 weeks from boat landing to dealers, then another period (2 weeks?) while the dealer does the (now extended?) PDI checks, oil switch and test and registration.

Makes sense, here's hoping this batch is ok

My blue SE standard is on the Goodwood and dealer is adamant that I will have it ready for me to pick up before November.

If anyone come across a spare Cancelled Grey SE SR available with the ones arriving perhaps from a oil leak cancellation please kindly post here, I will travel far to pick it up straight away.

When I ordered mine I know Arnold Clark were expecting 7 Grey SE SR cars on 21-Oct. (I nabbed one of them). Maybe try them and see if one is available?

Will give it try thanks mate. Which dealership did you order from , I assume the 7 is referring to that particular dealership?

NB:- I remember I asked you before.

So, before I cancel my order, I thought I’d check on progress of my Red Trophy pre ordered in August as soon as window opened. Dealer said it’s still not been made (in shortage stage) but manufacturing being stepped up. So looks like at least January !!

Interesting. I ordered a red Trophy on 26 August and no news. Dealer at the time said hopefully by year end but guaranteed by end of Q1 next year.

Same with my blue one. On the bright side, they should've fixed the oil leak by then!

I'm in the same position. Waiting on a black SE Long Range. Assuming the stock is on this ship that's just docked. Keeping an eye out here and on my dealerships Facebook for any activity. I plan to chase them up next week if there's no clear progress.

Anyone know of dealers that have received cars from the Grand Venus on 7th October docking?

How long does it take from docking to unload, schedule, pick-up and deliver vehicles to dealers? I'm wondering if my car (which is supposed to arrived at the dealer today) was actually on the Grand Venus.

No idea what ship ours was on but we went to the dealer yesterday for him to have a look at our current car with a view to p/ex and, by pure coincidence, there was a transporter unloading outside. Our grey Trophy was on it so we should get it maybe next week. While it was on the transporter I had a quick look underneath and, sure enough, the undertray had a slight dip. The dealer is well aware of the issues, I'm glad to say! They will be draining and refilling the gearbox oil to a lower level so it will be interesting to see if we still get the leak.
