We have had our MG4 for 3 weeks and travelled about 500 miles. We notice that the range varies considerably depending on driving conditions and how heavy footed you are. For instance driving in the suburbs/town where there is a lot of stop start and low speeds we can achieve about 5.8 miles/KWh. On the motorway, travelling at 70 mph, in rainy conditions with the heating etc on we get about 3.2 miles/KWh.
On average over the 500miles we got 3.8, but that did include some heavy footwork. On average around the suburbs we got 4.8 On a test drive we travelled 190 miles, mostly on the motor way and the dash showed the remaining range as 45 miles, so theoretically the maximum we could have travelled on a full charge was 235 miles. However you could never run the battery down to zero so probably less, unless the remaining range estimate takes this into consideration. Our dealer tested how long he could drive a MG4 for before it stopped from a flat battery, he said that once you get down to less than 10% the car goes into eco mode and gradually restricts acceleration and speed until you are nearly crawling.
