Am I the only one who's doesn't mind land keep assist...?

When I first got the car it was a gripe but I turned it's strength to 'weak" and now adapted my driving to stop it bothering my most of the time..Maybe it has trained me to keep off the lines and I actually indicate more when changing lane 🤔. I never turn it off...TBH I've other gripes like it slamming on the brakes when I'm reversing and it detects a pedestrian 5 metres away 😳🙄
Admittedly Tesla has a much better way of warning the driver with slight vibration..

Have you ever driven with LKA on and the car suddenly veers into a bus lane? Or the LKA keeps turning on and off because the markings on the road are bad?
Not so far...🤔

I've driven a few 1000 miles in the last month with it and MG pilot doing most of the driving though..

Once in torrential rain it was doing an amazing job when I could barely see even with the wipers on full speed... I think it uses the LIDAR more than the cameras as a Tesla just gives up and you're on your own..

My tolerance is low. If there is nobody to indicate to then you shouldn't be indicating. If the road is clear and moving over the line gives you a better view ahead then you should be doing it. If there is a car broken down on the side of the road then it is safer to move over the line to give it more space.

Until it recognises these scenarios then it is staying off.

If the lines are clearly marked then it may work OK, but it's actually dangerous on rural or less well marked roads.
I live in the Italian countryside where lines are in limited supply as well as curbs or paths..

I've not found it at all intrusive which is why I'm surprised with all the negativity.....

If im on the motorway and steering I sometimes get a red line then a beep after but never wrenching the wheel from me....

Maybe you just need to turn the level of warning and assist...?

I sometimes take the "racing line" 😏 it may beep and I tell it to do one but it never fights me....

I wonder if the LKA and TJA have some ‘self learning’ parameters that need time to adjust themselves
I'm thinking this is the case 🤔

it seems to have adaped to me

It’s not going to intrude if there’s no lines.
It thinks you’re driving down a nice wide lane.

I tried it on a few cars, and one of my purchase criteria was that it had to be possible to turn it off completely. It may be arrogant of me, but I feel that I make better secisions than it does.

Every car fitted with LKA allows you to turn it off completely, they just differ as to how (screen or button).
When shopping for our next car, for my wife, a criteria will be a physical button or the ability to select off as a permanent thing via OBD11.
