MG ZS missing V2L function

All sorted, V2L now working with car locked too šŸ„³
My June 22 does V2 L ok BUT switches off shortly after locking the car. I believe there is a firmware update to fix this. My supplying dealer and the dealer that did the service in July know nothing about this. Can you tell which dealer you used to fix yours ?

In Germany we have the same problem with the lack of V2L functionality, but our part number is different (11473414). I have already complained but no real response.
Does anyone know how much the bare EVCC spare part costs in the UK? And perhaps, if you have access to the parts catalogue, what is the correct part number for Germany? Any help would be appreciated.

This from our July 22 ZS LONG RANGE. Does work ok but does not support V2 L with car locked.

Could anyone link me to the V2L adapter they bought? I got one off ebay and it didnt work, had the EVCC changed on my car but it still doesnt work, and doesn't work on the dealerships MG4 either so it must be the cable

This works in mine. The car still won't V2L if switched off though, despite asking for the update to allow this at my recent service. It seems some dealer service centres will do this update and others won't / dont know how to. I also asked for the Tesla chargepoint update. I have not had chance to test that yet, but I suspect they didn't do that either.

MG Germany has now finally acknowledged the issue and told me to go to my dealer to have it fixed.
Unfortunately, the next free appointment there is in a month, and they want to keep the car for 2 days

That timescale seems very strange. My local dealer changed the necessary part and, as it was the first one they had done they asked me to leave the car with them for 2 hours. They actually did the job in less than one hour so I am puzzled why your dealer wants to have your car for two days!
I've just got a cheap V2L plug from eBay which works well.

Where would I stand with this? I've just bought my zs ev last month, have checked the EVCC and it's the version number mentioned above that does not have working V2L (just with different manufacture date number).
I was vaguely aware of V2L and thought it would be nice to use when I go camping if the car does have it, but no great deal breaker.

Considering I bought my car after mg removed reference, I'm guessing the dealer wouldn't replace it FOC?
I vaguely remember the sales guy asking if I wanted to add-on a cable to allow me to plug in AC devices, and opted not to (thinking I'd probably find a cheaper alternative online). I wonder if they'd have replaced the part then if I'd said yes?

My understanding is that if you make yourself enough of a pest, they will fix it Free Of Charge. They did advertise that the feature would be there, after all.

I guess they would have switched out EVCC module had you bought the V2L adaptor and applied the software update, because if had not worked, you would soon have complained when it did not work after buying the cable from them ! šŸ¤£.
I have a March 2022 Trophy LR and it would V2L fine with the cable I purchased from a third party.
However - It would only continue to provide a discharge when the car was in READY mode and it I could not lock the car and keep power flowing via the V2L.
This is a problem if you are camping and wish to discharging from the car at night, as it had to be in READY mode of course and the DRL's are therefore still active etc.
At the time of the cars first service, I asked the dealer if this could altered, in order to allow the car to discharge when the car was closed down and locked.
This was completed and I now have the facility.

I got this one from Aliexpress, works perfectly.

V2L - Vehicle to Load | UK EV SHOP Cheap V2L worked for me - the V2L works with car locked too - from the 'Tesla charging' update I guess. One issue I see with this type of adapter is the weather proofing if you are worried about that.

Don't suppose anyone near Stockport has a known working V2L cable/adapter for a 2022/23 ZS EV that I can come to try before I buy one to try? I'd like confirmation that it does or does not work before speaking to the dealer.

The car has now spent five days at the shop in order for MG to finally decide on day 5 that a part needs to be replaced (the EVCC module, I assume). The part has now been ordered and I need to come back when it has been delivered.
Why they needed five days to come to that conclusion, I don't know.
