Hi
I use a granny charger to charge my MG4 SE Long Range and this morning it was making a clicking noise like a fast metronome and was not charging. I swapped the extension lead but no luck. I then went to a nearby 50kW charger but no luck and then the 22kW charger next to it. It made the same clicking noise although not so fast. Essentially it is trying to charge but can’t. I contacted the AA and their EV help phoned back straight away saying that they had a few calls today like this. He suggested I reboot the console by holding the Home button down for 15 seconds until the centre console reboots, then exiting the car and locking it. Waiting at least 2 minutes and then re-entering and trying to charge again. Checking that the scheduled charging wasn’t on. I did this and tried the granny charger again, still no luck. He suggested trying at a DC charger so went through the ritual again and still no luck. His advice was that it therefore needed to go to an MG dealer to be sorted out. Anyone else has this problem and have any advice? Thanks!
