The MG4 SE 1100R33 Infotainment Thread

App still not responding, even though I've plicked the fob. I probably need to sit on the seat to properly wake it up, but it's pishing down so I'm not going outside. :)

I've been and sat in the car, made it READY, then got out and locked it. iSmart connects just fine now. :)

My battery gauge seems to be working!

I got the "Do you want Energy Saving Mode" message at about 10%, then I saw 9%, and then an alert came up on the driver screen about low battery and the gauge turned amber. :) (Also the battery symbol on the driver screen turned amber ... so even if the bar is short making it hard to see the colour, the battery symbol on the driver screen always remains the same size).

Mine is doing that anyway, still on R13. It's rather variable when it goes amber though, and really quite low. I'd have thought amber might be 25% and red at 10%, but it doesn't go amber till 10-12% and I've never seen red.

@siteguru is this new ?

When I enable ACC, if I long press the ‘steering wheel symbol’ button on the steering wheel, it switches TJA on. Long press again and it goes back to ACC.

Was that always the case before?

I’m about to go below 10% tomorrow for the periodic 5% to 100% AC charge
I had the message ‘do you want to enable every saving mode’ at 11%
At 10% now, bar still green.

Mine changed at 12% the other week. But then I had to put in a wee bit so that I had enough for the next day's drive and the second time I ran it down it was more like 10%. Still on R13.

Can't say I've I've tried long pressing the ACC button - I'll try to remember to do it next time I'm driving.

Consistent with my experience:

Alert came up at 8% and bar changed color.
This is what the alert looks like.
I pushed to 5% before slow charging to 100%.

Bar is consistent:

8% is consistent with 4kWh remaining. And my consumption over the last few miles was hovering 3mi/kwh but overall 3.6 since last charge.

I was in my car tonight but it was only a short journey without any opportunity for ACC. I'll try to remember to test it next time.

Yes, I had ACC active at the time. Well, pressing that button activates it anyway. But no amount of pressing got it to switch to TJA.

Sounds like a great new feature, I can't wait.

Very useful on the motorway. I normally just use ACC and the steering set to heavy but the new LKA works quite well when the lanes are well marked and it’s a lot less jittery

It works on R05. Great feature, proves the programmers have some good ideas. So why they ruined the rest?

And that’s when ACC is active is that right?
If that’s the case, that’s a new feature in r33
Confirmed with R33 ... as long as you have ACC or TJA selected in the MG Pilot menu (neither has to actually be engaged) then a long press (~2s) of the middle left steering wheel button will toggle between them - and you can see the selections toggling in the MG Pilot menu. Single press will then engage whichever is selected at that point, and toggling will still do just that whilst remaining engaged. 👍

Good spot sir. :)

What are the chances of the speed limiter functionality becoming consistent with the ACC on a future update? I'm not compatible with ACC, whereas the limiter on most cars works well for me.

However on the MG4 the lack of 1MPH increments limits its usefulness IMO (unless i've missed how to achieve that somehow).

With manual or auto limiter on, I would see it being something like:
Up/down short press increments 1 s
Press and hold increments 5 s
Long press of middle left swaps between manual and auto
Short press engages / disengages current mode
Buttons on screen always visible and selecting either mode turns off ACC.
I guess they could use left/right for one of the increments instead perhaps.

While they're at it they could stop the speed sign flashing after a few seconds when over the limit. It is very distracting and I have to turn detection off on motorways. Hmm, haven't checked this is still the case since the updates?

Even with the above it's still so nice to drive 🙂.
