Ohme home pro/ intelligent go set up?

An hour or so ago, I had confirmation on the app that Octopus were receiving half-hourly updates from the electric smart meter - may coincide with my setting up Int.Oct. potentially....just wish my tariff would update as that would be the icing on the cake!!!!

I'm on Intelligent Octopus Go, and yes very happy with it. Works great with my Ohme iPod. If you follow the link I sent everything should work fine. Have you actually switched tariffs from Flexible Octopus to IOG, as it won't do this automatically. When I did it the switch happened very quickly.
Octopus sent me Home Mini and with that I'm able to see electricity live use and gas use every 30 mins.

Well, I had an e-mail from Octopus stating that my IOG was now live and set up.
My electricity tariff now reads IOG instead of Flexible Octopus.
I see the charge rates of 7.5p/kWh for 11.30pm to 5.30am.
I'm hoping this means it's all good to go!!!
The 'Home Mini' sounds good....

Thank you all for your responses - I shall update progress of first charge tomorrow!

On a slightly different tract......can the Ohme App and Octopus app be installed on more than one phone? Mrs Loveclose may be in charge for a week in May.....

And one final home charging question:

Am I right to assume that if I programme a charge through Ohme, I don't have to worry about any settings in the MG app??

In setting up my IOG, I selected the option to control the Ohme app.

Currently, all programmable functions on the MG app are off.

Thanks for this.....
Sorry if this is a daft question.
At the moment, the top right switch on the MG app is off. Everything greyed out, but the 80% target is on.
Does the switch need to be 'on'.
I'd assumed Ohme did everything having 'approved charging request'

Update.....
Asking the charge to begin via the car or MG app fails.
My Ohme charger says on the box that it's on delay charge, not starting until 18.45.
So at present, I can assume two things....Firstly,the Ohme charger is on charge of 'charge start' and that the intelligent side of Octopus is not permitting peak rate charging.

Having had such a helpful Ohme video to work with, I'd appreciate any links to what MG app settings need to be in place, if any.

Forgive this very novice EV newbie....!!

Afternoon all!
Quick one hopefully!
I've just had my home home pro fitted (finally) and I've come to set up the scheduled charge etc on the app. I've set the charge to finish at 80% by 5:30 (for when the off peak tariff ends) but it's charging now when I turn the schedule on, is this correct? I thought when you were on intelligent go they automatically start the charge at off peak times?
I know this is a simple matter probably, but we've just had a new baby and I'm currently running on about 2 hours sleep and a pack of maltesers and my brain just isn't firing!
I hope this helps 🥴. I have the Ohme home pro charger. Initially I had nightmares with all the apps as in Ohme app/Skoda app/ Octopus app. In the end I deleted the Ohme app (I had a skoda enyaq then) ignored the Skoda app other than telling it 80% max or 100 % full charge. Octopus explained “just plug it in, even if it’s daytime. IF you see it start charging you will only be charged cheap rate, often when we have cheap electricity we will send some to your charger regardless of time, you may see it start & stop but you will only pay the cheap tarrif rate”. So we now have 2 MG4,s and if either need charging we plug in when we get home & leave it. It works & we have had zero problems. I never paired the Ohme to my Wifes car OR mine ? I had a Skoda Enyaq & tried all that cobblers, when we got our MG4,s (Wifes arrived first) we just plugged in & hoped it worked & it did. No big bills & no “I don’t recognise this car”. Does that help you? I hope so 👍

Appreciate the help - I'll certainly try this if my charge doesn't start at time my box says it will.
Cheers!

Update: Ohme Box has now delayed charge start until 2300hrs. Grid must be on heat in my area. At least the box is being updated. I programmed the car to be ready for 7am, so I guess its finding the optimised cheapest time.
So long as the car responded to the charger switching on, ask should be well!!

Box told me charge start at 2300hrs....
Bang on 2300 hrs, it all comes to life.
'Tis a thing of beauty.....

Mostly successful......but....

1) My requested charge dropped short once it hit 80%....by 10 mile's worth. I suspect a conflict somewhere. Any suggestions regarding charging limits welcome. The MG app did have an 80% limit applied on previous non-ohme led charge, but this was all greyed out.

2) Green charging lights stopped functioning. White and blue work, but no green.....Working at the start, but stopped whilst there was definitely an active charge. Potential fuse issue as discussed in another thread?

Did the 45% you requested include a 5% additional buffer to allow for losses and any balancing it wants to do at the end?

I allowed a buffer....more 3% than 5%.... and by outcome rather than planning!
Once the car hit 80%, it didn't allow anything further.
Chatted with a guru at my dealership, and found the car's own charging programme set to 80%
Has now been moved to 100.
MG App targets are all greyed out as the switch is on the off position.
I'll try another charge in a few day's time to see how we go.

More annoying is the green charging lights on the car that have stopped working....dealer service can't take the car in for checking until 2nd April, despite the possibility that it's a minor fuse issue....

Be good to know if there's a way of stopping the charge process manually from the Ohme app - can't see a 'stop charging' icon anywhere.....

Pleased to report I had a much more successful charge yesterday overnight.
I ensured that the MG app had any settings switched off,and the in-car was unused but still set to 100%.
Ohme app was programed for a 52% charge increase which was completed as planned by the requested 7am time.

A bonus..... previous charge, my green charge lights stopped working properly.
Last night, they worked faultlessly!!
No idea why the inconsistency is there but good to see them working!

I have all this to come on Monday when our Trophy ER is delivered. The Home Pro has been waiting patiently since December for something to do!
Yer'll love the car.
Few quirky bits which I've got used to.
But so far, (and it is only two- and-a- half weeks), I'm really enjoying the car and the whole EV experience.
