@kewbob did u get any call from MG Darlington regarding your cancelled order?

Went into Drive MG Darlington. Told them that according to MG they haven't cancelled any cars and are investigating (was shocked by this news) , just ghost orders which ours wasn't, told them we didn't want the deposit (for some reason they hadn't been able to return the deposit so requested a visit) we wanted the car ordered Dec 4th, proof that the order was placed which we got and are now waiting for a response guess a few more days to think of something. Fuming at the fact they are sitting on two blue LR trophys and Mike is driving around in a white one. He was shocked also to learn that their customers were communicating. Thank you to the forum you've been extremely helpful.

2 x Blue LR Trophy’s - how have they got these? That is the exact spec I ordered?
Agree that gaining the experiences of other members of this forum gives us all a better understanding. Without the MG Darlington would not have been exposed for the mess they created. Hopefully your grant that they submitted when you ordered the car is still in place?

So they have not reinstated your order but have also not returned your deposit. Have you contacted MG UK yourself?
If everyone whose orders have been cancelled contacted MG then I believe it will have a bigger impact.

They said MG had cancelled. Hubby asked for written proof, couldn't supply any there and then. Pretty sure if there is a potential of 46 people walking into the office as peed off as we were they'd be able to show us actual proof. As far as I'm concerned my order is still pending we haven't broken the contract between MG and ourselves. I want my car.

Lease companies do go through dealerships (well, at least mine does) but not sure about any volume discount.

Thought about going for a subsciption like Onto? They have e-corsa's and you can cancel at any time with a 30 day rolling contract, no deposit etc.. I went with Onto for the flexibility and not worried about when my ZS will turn up. If you fancy it here is my referal code to get 50 quid off the first month 9b33f

In my case, hopefully not too soon- subject to SWMBO approval about to hit the trigger on an eCorsa as a stopgap.

My advice is to back all conversations with something written. Even if it is an email to say Hi, to confirm our conversation on Saturday, the car is still…. As agreed you are to…. Please respond to this email to confirm….

Like others have said, I’d recommend emailing MG UK and the dealer principal. It appears they reneged on the cancellations

Hi, I don't want to be bragging or after the last few posts but as a shipping update for you. Our car was supposed to be on Spendid Ace which is due next month. I have just had a phone call stating our car was on the earlier vessel and is now on a transporter. It is one of 3 car transports heading to MG Derby. Ours is a Trophy LR in red.
Sorry to rub in good news after your appalling treatment above, just wanted to give people an idea of what is happening.

Consider raising a 'Subject Access Request'. They are legally obliged to provide you with all information relating to you and your order. This would include any internal emails about your order, the plug-in vehicles grant application and any notes they've made before and after contacting you.

No need to apologise. All data points are useful. Do you mind me asking when you ordered and whether it was directly with the dealer or via a leasing company?

Told the week before that they had to uphold all deals. I'm hoping they decide that one of those blue cars is mine, one has been sitting there 3 weeks. The way petrol prices are no one would be sitting waiting surely.

I feel everyone's pain as I have been on this shipping post journey since Nov 21. But with all the bad news three missed delivery dates we have finally got to the light at the end of the very long tunnel (I hope) We have our new reg, insurance sorted paperwork done and we collect on Wed morning. I actually find it reassuring to see examples of Nov and Dec orders being fulfilled!

Yes us too, hopefully some of you get similar to us, as we got the "on the ship" notification as Spendid Ace left China but it turned out it was on Victorious Ace which docked last week some time. Either that or there were cancellations at our dealer.

Monthly milage limit is 750, no good to me I’m afraid
