My Kia Sportage never had phantom braking or dangerous LKA and neither does my Cupra Born so it is not common to all cars, just ones with poorly written software like MG
That could have ended in a fatality, contact the DVSA and also MG.
Even if the car is drivable I for one would never drive it again.
