Yes, that's why I'm handing it back and let the leasing company handle the loss. My new MG (2025) is costing me £11K less than the original bought on PCP in 2021.

I had a test drive of the 2024 reg MG5 and felt it was great improvement on my PFL. I am still in negative equity on my PCP agreement with my nearly 4yr old car, so have decided to hand it back. I am now suitably impressed with the reliability of these cars so decided to buy rather than lease.

I'm mainly concerned about rust/corrosion in a 4yr old car. Its kept outside. Body work is fine but unsure of what might be happening underneath? I would also like the option of fitting a towbar which I cant do on the pre-facelift model.

I'm a few months away from either handing my car back or paying £10K to own it. The car has been faultless from new and has only cost me a replacemnet front window in repairs. I would be quite happy to buy it, as it has low mileage 16,000 but have been offered a 2024 Sep reg demonstration MG5...

Had a problem connecting to Instavolt charger at Sostice Park yesterday. Tried three times, and it accepted my card and connected, but timed out each time and would not charge. Phoned helpline who said it was a problem sometimes with MG. Then tried another charger and used my Electroverse card...

No problem I regularly drive my MG5 through a ford on river Sid. The battery is as watertight as a submarine.

Had the car on charge last night (MG5 pre-facelift) and when I went to remove charging cable this morning I noticed all four windows were wide open. As it had rained in the night the seats were all wet. Windows closed fine, and all all seems normal otherwise with the car and it is charged up...

I was told the main battery has the same specifications as a submarine as regards protection against water ingress. There is also a famous clip of a Tesla driving through water over its front bonnet in a submerged underpass passing other nearby stranded ICE cars.

Just had my second servoce at Hendy Exeter, very reasonable charge of £138 and completed the job while you wait.

I guess this was due to incorrect installation, but may be someone might like to comment on how this can happen...
