Sorry, do not know the software version installed. Other faults were USB-C port not functioning (Booked in for centre console removal to try to identify problem), and loss of functionally of all steering wheel paddles and buttons. powering down and up again does not solve any of the above problems.

My everyday car is a Hyundai Kona. Unlike the MG which I agree with you is very notchy when using ACC, the Kona is as smooth as silk. In fact, everything about the Kona when using all the safety features is so much better. Makes me wonder whether the MG brake lights come on as the ACC is doing this.
