Another bug? Unable to select Reverse

Yep, Trophy from the first batch that arrived in Oct as had ordered it when it was first priced back in April.

Now I'm completely unable to select Reverse at all so it's stuck on my driveway! Think it's a dodgy switch rather than a software bug. Next step, call the garage on Monday.
Have driven it just over 1500 miles.

At least managed to enjoy it with the top down for the last week, and even saw it reach an average of 4.7 miles/kWh at one point. Also had another bizarre bug, on Friday morning, the car had switched itself to km. Had no idea until I was driving through town and it was telling me i was speeding when I was crawling along... It was saying that the speed limit was 20 km/h! Took me a while to find the right screen & menu to revert it back to Imperial units.

Regarding the intermittent reversing problem I took my car to the dealers a couple of weeks back for the problem to be looked into. On this occasion they updated the software and it was basically a case of see how it goes. Unfortunately, this did not solve the problem. took it back this week and they have now ordered a new switch unit (P, R, N, D on the central console) as this is the diagnosed problem. Worry now is how long it will take to arrive as car central console totally striped out at the moment. How did you go on?

I’m still trying to determine the root cause. Other than on my drive once, it has always occurred on my dad’s driveway. Last few visits, rather than drive in and then being stuck trying to reverse out, I’ve reversed in and then manually needing to lift the doors. So now back to thinking it’s due to being on a slope / camber. Guess time to use a few spirit levels and park at different angles!

Do you know the new software versions?
What are some of the other faults? Wondering if I may have those symptoms as well.

I still can't work out if the Reverse issue is a software or hardware issue. Guess next time it happens, we try the 2 button reset on the steering wheel to see if that resolves it...

or may be it's an MG thing...

Last week I experienced a weird glitch where I couldn't engage reverse. It'd go into drive, but not reverse. Then yesterday leaving work it wouldn't engage drive.
In both cases I had to power off the whole car and then back on and it was fine.
(Also had another glitch today where the radio didn't turn off when I locked it.)

Took my car to the dealers 15th April to get the reverse selection problem sorted out. Was told initially they would need it for a couple of days but as it turned out I got it back this morning (26th April). The delay was due to a new switch unit (P R N D) selector being needed. Was told on pickup that when they got the old switch assembly unit out of the central console it was obvious that this was the problem. Not driven far yet but so far so good.
