Looking at the manual pg 298 it recommends charging battery to 100% weekly. Doesn’t differentiate between the LFP or NCM chemistries. Does anyone do this with the LR battery?

Phoned up to get it done and it turns out mine has already had the update/patch when they were prepping the car. Apparently MG aren’t sure which cars have had the update and which haven’t so are sending out to all (of the first batch?)

Agree that more info would really help work out how to best use the feature. The user manual in the car is not detailed enough.

Below 10 degrees sounds about right with me also. I’ve seen it a few times early in the morning and only allowed it to turn on once. Not really sure it did much but probably easier to do some tests when it gets properly cold and battery performance starts to drop off

It wasn't plugged in and I agree it looked like it took nothing out of the battery. I'm just surprised by the consumption, I haven't seen anything over 4 since I got the car....and I have been checking quite a lot as I routinely get 4+ in my current (soon to be ex-) EV

Is that an ID3/4 with heat pump? I vaguely remember seeing something about unexpected/excessive battery drain when making short journeys in cold temps due to battery heating

Not charging at home ATM as lucky enough to be able to charge at work, but will defo keep an eye on the drain....maybe I should plug it in anyway and see if it takes from the charger when doing the pre-heat?
