I was limited by the fact that it's a company lease through octopus - so was not free to pick and choose a dealership.
For the record, my issue wasn't the long lead time (though that was annoying) but more the fact that MG are unwilling or unable to provide a delivery date for a car that is...
haha arguably the teslas are in demand too - top selling car in the UK in March was the Model Y... Difference is, they have a functional supply chain (or appear to)
Well, that's that.
Tesla order placed, MG order cancelled.
When you take so damn long to deliver a car that the customer gets an increase and a new car allowance between order and delivery, that's a risk you take :D

Just received the following from my Octopus account manager person:
They've offered me the option to change my order (white Mg4 trophy) to a different vehicle with shorter lead times. My tesla model y senses are tingling ...
I've seen a few posts like this, where you need to set the internal temperature to something a lot higher than you would normally - try 24 or 25 and see if that's more comfortable?
Seats and steering wheel would probably be more efficient though
I know this is off topic and I apologise, but I just got an update from Octopus! The car is real, and is somewhere on the planet between China and my house!
Mine's through Octopus so I don't have any flexibility on that. It's a fleet order so I believe it gets lower priority than others.
Maybe I'll give Octopus a rev and tell them to widen their dealer net a bit.
