Is the iSmart app working for anyone today? I have not had it connect to the car since mid day today. I'm on the latest version, it worked till late morning and ever since hasn't worked.
Unlock/lock the car it wake it up and restart the app.

A real pain this morning frost on windscreen . That’s good use the app from my iPhone to defrost the front windscreen
Again try again later it’s about time Mg sorted it out
Has anyone else had the same trouble or is the app so bad that it can’t be fixed

Mine did the same thing, so I ran the scan which checked everything. When I tried again it started to defrost.

I have bound my MG ZS EV to the iSmart app and it works as expected when on Wi-Fi but refuses to work when on the phone signal. I have both my email and phone number on the app and it worked on V1 but has not worked since upgrading to V2.
This is not handy when trying to use the warm up feature while in a car park or away from home.
Is anybody else having this issue and if so has anybody found a resolution???
Not a happy bunny at the moment.

Oooh, out of the blue mine now lists some local EV stations... Instead of shanghi... its the first time its done that.

I’ve just checked mine, and yes, EV stations are being shown! The app is gradually becoming more useful 👍

My issue is now resolved: I bought a new phone. Its predecessor was running Android 8 which Google Play says is the minimum. The new phone is running Android 14. I suspect that the latest update needs a more recent version of Android than number 8.

Installed the ismart app, no problem. But won't work just a Black screen. Any ideas please. 🤔

I went through an update of the iSMART app on 19th December 2023. After the update the app informed me that it was unbound to the car. I uninstalled the app and re-installed at that time, but no luck. I think at the time there was an MG EV Forum podcast which explained there had been some issues with updates and disastrous consequences. I basically gave up with the app.
I have just tried to use the iSMART app again and logged in and it prompts me "To bind". If I select this option it is then wanting to scan a QR code.
I would be grateful if someone could advise me what to do to resolve this and get the iSMART app to function correctly with my MG ZS EV.
Thanks, Mike

Are you using the mobile number (no zero) or email address that was originally used to set up the account? This seems to be the source of many problems.

I'm using my mobile number as my username and this seems to be accepted but I then get the prompt to bind.

But if you are getting the prompt to bind iSmart is not linking to your original account. If your original mobile number doesn't work try your email address.

I had exactly the same problem with android 8, even though play store said my phone was compatible. I ended downloading the APK earlier version of iSmart, disabled auto update and seems to have cured the problem. HTH.
Barney
Where did you find the earlier APK Version of i-Smart
