Outside temperature gone doolally.

So washing my car and just wiping out the 'shuts' I thought I'd just check under the bonnet seeing as the cars just been worked on and found.......

Just makes you wonder what else he hasn't done back up?
I’d be back down that dealer ASAP buddy, that’s beyond shocking 😳

& I can’t let this go regarding your comments about pouring tomato sauce on your egg! My wife does this & I just look in disbelief, it’s brown sauce or just eat the egg on its own! 😝

That's appalling! You need to go to a different dealer. You are going straight back to complain, aren't you?

I'm just off the phone to my dealer organising the first service, and trying to get through to them that I want everything @siteguru has, plus my undertray fixed. If they do anything like this to me, well there are four or five MG dealers (including @siteguru's at a pinch) accessible to me.

I would not take it there for a brake service???? I remember my first new motorbike GPZ 750 and on its first service I returned to the dealer to find a 17 year old YTS lad sat crossed legged with all my pads and caliper pins on the floor beside him. That was a very tentative ride home and immediate strip down and reassembly of all the parts. Amazingly they managed to check all the shims on the camshafts and get every bolt back in the same hole and line up the factory torque paint marks on each bolt perfectly without a scratch or disturbing the lightly accumulated dirt . Or at least I was billed for that! Could you send your dealer a link to this site?

Just adding it to my ever growing list @Rolfe.

I'm going to let them do the camera to put a line under the episode from start to finish (and add any other issues that may occur) then craft a suitable email for the MD.

This saga along with some other posts on the forum are starting to remind me of this video from EVM. Not saying your dealer would do this but about 3 minutes in was one of the worst incidents and just shows it is not just MG and their dealers who treat customers badly

Un bloody believable!
I have some dash cam of the first 'diagnostic' visit.
The 'Tech!?' is on the phone to MG technical, telling them everything I have already done,
Soft reset,
Factory reset,
Battery disconnect.

He also does all those things, but is getting nowhere.

In case you've not read all the thread, I've already told them the exterior sensor needs changing.

He's just about to start slagging me off on the phone, before checking himself.......

"The bloody bloke who owns this car......oh hang on, just seeing if there's a dashcam"
Before unplugging it.

I also heard him respond to my cars personal greeting with.....

"Oh F************K OFFFFFFFFFFF" !!!

Cheeky arsehole.

I told them to leave it plugged in if they road tested the car.

I deliberately unplugged it at the last visit and told the service manager I'd done so because I didn't want to hear myself being slagged off again.

Looked at me blank faced.
(His usual look to be fair)

Absolutely disgusting mate. I’d have to tell the guy to go forth & multiply ( after I got my car back & fixed to a good standard ) I couldn’t let that go.

I’m hoping I’ll have a better experience with future servicing or any hiccups I might have. Where I got my MG4 use to be Premier Ford, then MG had half of the showroom & it’s now just called Premier Motors. I’m not sure if there’s any kind of deal between the two of them but in the last year when my Ford went in I always got a new MG ZS as a courtesy car.

& the dealer told me all the technicians there are the same & all are/being trained up with EVs & I’ve never had problems with these folks.

Well I wish you luck buddy, hope they sort it ASAP & if they give you any more crap, give him a light smack around the back of the head with your granny charger 😁

Has the temperature problem actually been fixed though?
That's in post #60 my friend.👍

The climate now works as it did previously thank goodness.

Mines set Auto AC on 24 degrees.

I find I can leave it there and just add a quick burst of Full Demist if required.

With the exterior sensor inop the climate would give out Extreme Heat or Freezing Cold with nothing in between.

EDIT :
Hi = Full Heat
32 = Sub Zero

Be careful 😂

Can't see it getting to court TBH, but I'll make sure it's not running when I confront him about it.
I can then claim self defence.🤣
