    MG4 Battery Health

My point is that they shouldn't write 51% SoH and tell me the car is fine.

    MG4 Battery Health

It's not 51%, the range is still good. It wasn't the SoC either. Don't know where they got it from.

    MG4 Battery Health

Yeah, my dealer recorded my SoH as 51%. That's not correct but it won't do my residual value much good. Getting it tested soon.

    51% SOH

As you can see, car scanner has given a believable result this time. Still going back to the dealer for a check because I don't want 51% SOH on my records.

    51% SOH

Yes, did that. I'll experiment further over the coming week.

    51% SOH

Tried Car Scanner. It says SoH is 400% In a few years I'll be able to circumnavigate the globe on a single charge. :p

    51% SOH

That's what they call wonky maths! 😁

    51% SOH

I've now got it booked in for a battery check on 23rd. I have also ordered an OBD2 dongle so I can keep an eye on it myself. Hopefully it will all turn out to be just a mistake. They are taking it back in for a test.

    51% SOH

I honestly have had my mind on other things recently but it currently has an SOC of 63% and a GoM range of 136 miles. That's equivalent to 100% range of 215 miles or 79% of claimed range. Bearing in mind the very wet, windy and cold weather that's low but believable.

    51% SOH

MG4 Trophy LR 23 Plate. 9k miles, 1st service today recorded 72% SOC and 51% SOH. The second figure seems crazy to me. Am I missing something? TIA

    Are electricians ripping us off?

I paid £338.33 to have a Hypervolt (which I purchased separately) installed including a new consumer unit in the garage. A new 13 amp socket was also included. It was all done at a few days notice. I don't feel ripped off.

    Performance model MG4

I agree with you completely, I would like to tow my caravan without the need to charge every 100 miles or less. There isn't an ev that can do this yet at a cost that is affordable for an ordinary person. The new model is mostly just an attention grabber.

    Scratch and infotainment screen

I have left the screen protector in place that came with the car so no problems. If I need to change it there are plenty available online. I know this is too late for you but you could still put one one to prevent further damage.

Would you buy an MG 4 again?

I definitely would buy again, it's been a great car (not perfect) though I feel for you getting a dud. I also have a diesel SUV for towing a large caravan and the future seems uncertain there.

    Auto car wash experience

Fair comment. This is the first new car I've had for a while so I'll take the advice of many drivers here and avoid.

    Auto car wash experience

This isn't about damage caused by car washes - people's experiences and opinions differ. What is certain is that I've had cars that were always left with dirty patches. The shape of the panels prevented the brushes reaching all parts. With such a sculpted body, does the 4 suffer from the same...

    Show us yours

I was thinking about orange or grey, then I saw this beauty in the showroom and signed on the dotted line. I've had it for 4 weeks now and I love it. No issues, added some interior lights and a boot liner purchased on AliExpress to keep the dog happy. My wife is just as pleased as I am.

What are peoples experiences when using a granny charger?

I use power line extenders for WiFi. (Devolo brand) and they cause no problems with my Hypervolt 7kW charger or granny charger. I agree with others that folk should get an electrician to check their mains circuit and ask them to recommend the best way to get a supply close enough to the car as...
