Where did data come from. I ask because elsewhere on this site it references that MG have hard coded the SOH into the diagnostics.
Mine when battery is completely flat to fully charged takes 32kwh. Not 44.5kwh capacity.
73%!
Computer says 92%!
Interesting- I tried like hell to get MG to accept fault but they would not. HV failures and battery capacity. Their diagnostics are really bad.
AA and this forum know more about MGs than MG.
The AA are excellent- my zs ev has had this fault countless times. AA fix each time and mg say nothing wrong. I now avoid motorways because this happened to my son on a smart motorway. Very dangerous.
95%. My learned colleagues on this site have told me that MG have hardwired the SOH and it bears no relation to the actual health.
Computer says it’s ok so it must be despite PPP.!
Also, charging speed not covered by warranty so they can dial it back as much as they like with a software reset...
MG need to work out how to put an interlock on the charging connector.
They tell me that charge port un locks when you unlock the car because it stop people driving off with the cable attached. Stupid logic - then connector is still in the hole!
Poor design - pipe freezes and pops off. Mine has been in the garage for repair for a week now - I must check rear washer before I take it away after the cold weather.
No idea. It goes into service every year and the dealer kick the tyres and charges me ~£100. Other symptoms suggest to me it knackered.
I hope my meter is accurate. Ps I use a Zappi and I have verified it with Zappi, independent CTs and meter readings.
I has become irrelevant because it goes...
My charge flap has stopped latching closed and does not lock. It just stays open.
MG want to charge me £450 for a replacement.
Car still under warranty - why is this not covered?
Warranty is incredibly POOR?
At the end of every full charge my ZS takes at least a 4 hour balancing charge at 0.3kW. Sometimes 6 hours.
This is in addition to the very poor fast charging and very low battery capacity compared to specification.
Max charge rate ever has been 36kW. Spec 76kW.
Max charge from zero to full...
For the most part Lone Ranger life is good with an EV. Here in the little country one can get the edge and back in a day and sometimes on one charge.
EVs are here to stay and the only solution for road transportation.
Today I have done Somerset and back - 320 miles with only momentary pauses to...
Les. I said the charger does not know what car is plugged in, neither should it or can it.
Several dealer visits have been made about both battery capacity and max charge rates - the dealer does not have the wit or equipment to diagnose and MG don’t care - they say charge rate is not covered...
Talk to MG. Their interpretation of the charging protocol is odd.
This a problem with the MG. Tesla chargers are super reliable. The charger does not know what car is plugged in unless it’s a Tesla and there is a handshake for auto billing.
If I were Tesla I would block MGs as in my experience...
Agreed - here are two characterisations of services - let you decide which manufacturer.
Book service on App. Mobile service proposed. Remote diagnostic indicates new ultrasonic sensor needed. Service agent calls morning of booked service, text when 45 minutes away. Turns up on time. Sonic...
Read the terms of the warranty - it’s one of the flakiest out there. Many things are not covered. First visit I was charged for a software update - when I argued car was delivered with a software defect and it would not function without update then they waived the charge.
I’m always impressed with this forum because there is a huge amount of experience and advice out there.
Answer is that I don’t know. I’ll look next time. And will ask MG to look at this.
It’s a complete pain in the ass when it happens because it immobilises the car and cannot get into it...
