I have the same dongle issue and now switch CarPlay off by pulling out the USB plug by 1mm (not out completely) and push back in on next start-up.

From memory- If you swipe left on the Home Screen one of the tabs is Vehicle. Tapping this gives a Power off option which is like the old ignition switch. Switch off and then press the brake to restart. Saves getting out of the car. I’ll check my memory tomorrow and let you know.

On two occasions now my smart meter and its online app (Loop) tells me that the car charged between 0030 and 0430 using 12 kWh energy, but the MG app showing the amount of charge, and the “miles since last charge” display in the car indicates it didnt charge. Anyone else experience this...

Why does zeroing the trip recorder affect the predicted range?

I thought the upgrade to R46 recommended and installed by MG garage had sorted this when it was done about 6 weeks ago. However BT disconnected again earlier this week and I havent bothered reconnecting yet.

Like you I’ve “always” had auto wipers and was a bit miffed to find that MG automatic meant intermittent wipers which go faster when you speed up - not that I’ve ever noticed this. Just trying this from Amazon (evatmaster.com). It works but doesn’t come on automatically when the car is “ready”. You still have to press CarPlay and unplug/plug in the USB. Looks a lot better than the wire though. I’ll give it another couple of weeks.
