Thank you for the reply.....looks like the dealer either didn't bother to check whether the car needed an update...or trying to make money out of me. I got the car in July 2022 ...never tried a rapid charge maybe if I did it could brick the car

It was in for its first service...that's why I was wondering if there were any updates as it's now 1 year old...I'm sure I've read somewhere that an update was released this year

As anyone had any updates carried out on their ZS EV Long range trophy in the last year...as when my car went in for its first service none were done and when I asked I was informed There were no outstanding recalls or campaigns on your vehicle. Any other updates are done at the customers...

They argued their case and refused totally to ignore the Ombudsman's decision

I had a bad experience with them...even The dealer Ombudsman said they were out of order and should give me a written apology and a £2500 refund...I got nothing

Be careful I was ripped off by cars 2..arrogant. abusive once they've got you tied in to a contract ....they are only interested in a sale..

Email requests sent to relevant departments...OZEV directs you to the DVLA....so sit and wait see what I get back....thank you all for your help....Will let you know how I get on

Which department would that be... If its one of Cars2 I don't stand a chance been asking for 2 weeks for a copy of the original order and haven't received a reply seems they are ignoring my emails...

All I can say to anyone who hasn't received their car yet is be aware of this scam as it seems there is no way to prove any different

He won't budge ...they've done me out of £2,500 ...I'm convinced they got it and want me to pull out so they can sell it at full price and pocket the grant...if only there was a way I could find out that the the grant was applied when the car was first ordered

Anyone on here know whether the order form completed by the dealer when ordering an MG ZS EV last November...December listed the application for the EV Grant or was it a completely different document

Ordered in November called me first week in June and told me they hadn't applied for the grant and if I wanted the car it would be £2500 extra...cars now here

Yes its waiting collection ...but they've scammed me...Did you get the grant

Just found this in an email from cars2 in Febuary when enquired about my cars delivery date "What we can say is they are price protected and the government grant is secured, and they are trying to get them to us as soon as possible and it's just as frustrating for us as it is for the customers"...

Where would you go to find out if the grant was paid or not......you are dealing with a car salesman....I'll never trust another

Then he says no you reject the car and your back to square one....he'd have no problem selling it on...even a bigger win for him if he did get the grant....you can't prove either way whether it was paid or not...they can tell you what they want

Mine did the same to me Car2 Barnsley...they came up with the excuse that don't apply for the grant till the cars delivered

Incompetence springs to mind...after what they have done anyone in their right mind wouldn't go anywhere near them...they are not to be trusted
