My car was effectively 25kWh available. MG have me a dealer demo car and that car developed the same decline. By 7000km, the range is down to 150km....if you're careful.
They updated my software with a newer version and returned my car to me. I've been driving it 160km each day and getting it...
My MG eZS is still with the dealer (about 10 days now) after they applied the January 19th BMS update. I have their demo car. It has the same issue as mine. The battery is effectively 30-31kWh after 3500km.
I don't know what to think at this point. This isn't what I paid for.
About 25C-30C during the day and 15C at night where I live. Slightly warmer further north. Slightly cooler further south. In January and February and March, it's warm everywhere, really.
The first line drive I did see me travel from Opotiki to Waihi - 193km - and still have 56km left. The battery was still on 24%.
A couple of weeks later - November 26th - I traveled from Opotiki to Auckland (340km) but wasn't able to get to Waihi. Close, but I elected to charge on the way, in...
After I picked it up on November 14th, I did 3 trips that saw the car perform to expectations. But December 27th saw me drive 660km in a day and I found I needed to charge every 100km. The next day we drove back and it was the same. In the 29th, I called MG and booked a service appointment.
In...
The voltage when fully charged is about 437 to 440. But it seems to be falling. 440v was last week. 437v is this week. Voltage at fully depleted was 387v. It's summer here in NZ
I've had my MG ZS EV for about 8 weeks. For the first 2-3 weeks it was awesome. But since then it can't charge beyond 30kWh..... with range in line with that. MG looked at the car for 2 days this week. On MG' s suggestion, I've twice charged the car to the top and fully equalized and then driven...
Agreed. It looks like a faulty cell. The limit seems to be 27kWh. There is also some discussion on Facebook that the battery heating update broke the BMS and this 27kWh 'limit' is a consequence of that. Hopefully they will just be able to remove that update........and we can test it from there.
I'm in New Zealand. I've had my eZS since November 14th. At first, the range was just as I would have expected. I went for a long drive the day after getting the car It easily did 193km before the battery low light appeared. Awesome.
But the range has gradually been declining. Day to day, I...
True. This used to happen to me in Nissan LEAF, too. If the brake pedal wasn't depressed before hitting the START button the result could be pretty confusing.
