    I think I have read enough.

    After all the reading I have done on here with regards to failures, charging issues, roof rails, wind noise etc. I think I will pass on the MG5. I will look in every now and again to see how things are progressing but I don't think the rough edges have been smoothed off enough for me to buy...

    Starting an Excite

    I am coming down on the side of an Excite, purely for financial reasons. I take it you just put the key in the ignition, same as my old Jazz, and start it like a conventional car? Manual only gives info for Keyless starting.

    Why is it called a "Granny" cable?

    Try as I might, I cannot find why the cable for charging from a 13A socket is called a "Granny" cable. Is it because your old granny wouldn't know how to use a charger but could plug her car in like plugging in her kettle? Does anyone know the definitive answer to this question?

    What's to stop someone plugging into a public charger then going off for a day at work when an hour would see their car fully charged?

    One step closer to getting my MG5

    I am now one step closer to my MG5 as my wife is now wholeheartedly behind the project. I am thinking of going down the PCP route or whatever the best recommendation is for a private owner. At 73, I am not worried about keeping a car (I am more concerned about not outliving the PCP contract o_O...

    Euro NCAP

    I was concerned to find that the MG5 has not been Euro NCAP tested. It has been C-NCAP tested but I have no faith in the results posted. The MG ZS EV has a five-star rating, but I would like to see the MG5 rating before ordering.
