I've tried mine in the last hour and it does seem that if the AC is on then the active grille kicks in. I always have the hvac set to auto and therefore the AC is on. I'm glad I now know the reason so I will now only have it turned on when it's really necessary and avoid having cold air blowing...
So when I exit the car and before I lock it, there is a noise a bit like a fan and also the grille is visibly open at the front. Once locked it shuts and goes quiet.
I have noticed that after the vast majority of my drives in the MG4 Trophy no matter what distance, the active grille has activated. Even on cold days when I wouldn't expect it to do so it has come on. I generally drive it carefully so it's not due to thrashing it. Anyone else noticed it come on...
Had my Hypervolt installed recently and I am really happy with it. A couple of things I would have liked however, is the ability to charge to a chosen percentage and to be able to see what the current percentage is whilst on charge. Maybe a future software update could be done to provide these?
Mentioned the clicking on mine at first service last week (MG Rayne). They said it's a known problem and have ordered a new steering column. I was pleasantly surprised as I expected them to say there's nothing wrong or at best tighten a bolt for a temporary fix.
Had my rear windows tinted today with Global Tint. I was due to have the 2 front side windows done as well but the guy said they have a slight tint already so if I have them done there was a danger they could be over the legal limit. Decided not to risk it. It's interesting how some are happy...
Global Tint are due to do all the windows on my ZS EV (not windscreen) on Sep 10 for £270. I probably should have haggled tbh as I suspect I could have got them to do it lower, however, I'm happy with that price and can't wait. Just a shame I couldn't get an earlier booking in the summer but...
Interesting James. I guess there's no harm in asking around. Being a tight Yorkshireman however, the thought of having to prise open my wallet so soon after buying the car is my biggest hurdle 😂
Thanks for the quick reply Biffo. Yes I think you are probably right. I'm managing ok on the granny charger at the moment so might stick with that for now 😀👍
I would like a charger installing in my garage and one of the questions I need to answer is how far from the main fuse box will it be. I have power in the garage already with a small fuse box, however, I assume that as it's not the "main" fuse box this will not be ok to use to connect the...
I'm sure I read somewhere that it can take up to 30 of these rebalancing charges to rectify the problem. If this is not the case I'm happy to be corrected if someone knows differently.
