Yeah, found it. Thanks all. I will try it next time to see if it improves my charging rate on rapids to above 50kw although I doubt it will heat the battery much more than an extended 70mph run will.

I've just fixed ours at the new unit at 27p/kwh literally two weeks ago so unless it's changed significantly in two weeks you're out by around 30%. Not only that, we are a very small consumer, big business will only be paying around 20p tops as they will only pay a shade above wholesale.

No, true, but it's nowhere near the price increase we general public have seen. My guess is that the increase in sales coupled with government incentives to install outweighs the cost of the electricity. I do agree though that they won't be free for long!

My gut feeling is that the car tells the charger it is an Mg5 and the charger says "ooooh, that's a 50kw car, I'll charge at 50kw" I think it warrants an email to the two suppliers. Has anyone got better than 50kw at Skelton Lake or hartshead Moor?

I would have thought battery temp wasn't an issue, we had been driving for two hours at that point. Bit pointless having a charger capable of charging at 80+ kW up to around 80% if you have to run it down to 20% first. If I'd plugged in at 70% I could understand it.

Yes, it was hartshead Moor but the also have applegreen 350kw chargers next to the tesla rank.

I originally thought that the ionity might be limiting because they were all in use but we were the only ones charging on the applegreen site
