Lovemy....... I have charged it 6 times over the past two weeks ...half only needed a 15% top up..The other half required about a 50 % charge... Half of the charges were done at 2.5kW and the other half at full 7kW...I have to say neither power rating seemed to produce a better voltage level at...
Peter... I had the buggy BMS mid Novemebr and the fix done last week.. I too have been monitoring.... have gone from 437 to 441 immediately.. Now it seems to be adding on another volt each couple of charges...Am at 444v currently
In terms of range though..this has improved..with the buggy BMS it...
so if it seems to be a good idea to carry a battery pack in the car to get the car turned on if the 12v battery is flat...can anybody indicate how much current (amps) is required to do this ...so I can get the right size battery pack
I have had my car for 12 months now.. Had the BMS update in Novemebr whih reduced range by 40% and voltage is full charge of 437Volts..It is going back for the BMS update fix on Wednesday...Will let you know howI get on
Louise...I would contact Rolec direct...They are very good and will look to resolve speedily. They will at least be able to indicate whether there product has any issues with charging MG cars
Most Charger leads are suitable for outside environments.. I would though avoid them sitting in puddles for days... Not sure if you already have a charger but you can can 'tethered' charging units which have the lead permanently fixed to the charger
Apparently fix is out soetime this week so even if she has issue she can take it back to resolve.. She needs to fully charge it up and then go for a 40 mile round trip...Ifthe range drops toaround 80 miles then she hasthe problem
Fantastic...except the first service in November they updated the BMS which has reduced range to 50%...very annoying.. Apparently MG sending out fix this week...
I drive approximatley 100 miles per day..I have accumulated 19.5K miles since buying the car Jan 20
I very rarely need to use a rapid charger ( maybe 10 times this year)
good question.... My view is that servicing is resposibility of the owner and is 'recommended'..I am not sure that servicing is compulsory
Personally..I wished that I had waited a while before the dealers got their hands on the car...I was happy with it up until that point
had my car in to dealers yesterday ( monday) they saidthat they had fixed the problem but when I asked them whether theyhad the new update I got some fob off...Car still only doing 90 miles max...So my advice is wait at least a week before you take your car in . I will put mine back in at end of...
Yes .. to check that it would work I would suggest you set your charger to on and then turn the supply to charger off for say an hour..when you turn supply to charger back on both the charger and the car should go into charge mode.....if it works it should be cheaper than changing charger
I take it from your information that this pod point is not a SMART charger asI would have thought all SMART chargers can be timed to come on at night...If it is not a SMART have you thougt of just putting a timer at the supply end of the circuit thus no need to change from tethered?
