MG to lose customers for good?

Sorry to see you (and your sense of humour) go. I think that you have made the correct decision. But sadly I don't think that MGUK or SAIC care.

Which is Cheaper ICE or EV it depends how things have changed

The obvious solution is to raise much needed tax revenue by reinstating the "fuel price escalator/fuel price stabiliser" and including the deferred rises from previous years.

    Co Charger network

People charging 35p/hour during the daytime are probably making a loss at current electricity prices given the 12% commission.

    12v battery - options?

Tesla changed from Lead Acid to Lithium Ion without curing all of the issues and creating some new ones: Tesla's new 12V Li-Ion battery dying rapidly under certain conditions - here's how to prevent it

Octopus Energy - Sharing my Prices and thoughts - January 2023 onwards…

No, any smart meter capable of reporting in half hour periods (nearly all of them) should be acceptable. There's a minor issue regarding communication and effectively bringing Gen 1 up to Gen 2 communications so that they can transfer to a new supplier but that should have already been done.

    Octopus Intelligent or 'Go'

You can be cheapskate like me and use a Type 2 to Type 2 Ohme lead on your existing charge point. They can be amended to replace the tethered lead if you have that sort of lead. Mind you they seem to go for around £200 now which is a lot to save 2p/kWh off-peak. Exactly, 23:30 to 05:30 fixed...

So glad to get my MG4 back after a ZS lease

I'd love the panoramic roof from the pre-facelift ZS in either a 5 but particularly the dark cabin of the 4.

It Looks Like Speed Assist Systems Are On The Way For NCAP - Perhaps Default On?

Up until recently too much focus has been on the vehicle occupants whilst ignoring any pedestrians and occupants of other vehicles. This has ignored the growth of SUVs etc unchecked.

    Highlands new charge rates.

It's a classic unfair business practice, use a subsidised price to prevent any competition then jack up the prices. If I was a potential competitor I'd be concerned that if I could compete at the current price there's nothing to prevent them lowering the price again to drive me out.

Do MG actually listen to feedback?

I hope that you are correct. My experience with getting things rectified by MG wasn't good. Perhaps I was unlucky. But I don't see any new MG4s being delivered yet with revised breathers, undertrays or setting memory. Obviously nothing to see here.

Do MG actually listen to feedback?

So we have to wait for the "facelift" before SAIC will rectify significant issues? On the MG4 the locked in issue has been resolved, but how much was that the pressure from the DVLA etc.? No meaningful progress on the oil leak, undertray, default driving settings etc. But it's not just SAIC, VAG...

It Looks Like Speed Assist Systems Are On The Way For NCAP - Perhaps Default On?

Agreed. The safety body believes that the systems will improve safety when they work, and are relying on consumer complaints to make them work once they force them into cars. If people had the option to choose to buy the systems they would, in the main, opt not to and hence they'd never be...

Use EV wall charger as outside plug

Agreed, but if you keep the load down to sensible levels and use an appropriately fused device so that you aren't relying on a 40A breaker then you should be fine. A changeover switch and outdoor socket are far cheaper but not portable.

I have a blackvue also, it is discrete and works. Can't say much more than that about it.

Use EV wall charger as outside plug

I suspect that you are correct, here's a link to the type of device that I meant. T2 > UK 13A Note that the "electronics" are contained in the Type 2 plug so there's no "brick" like a pEVSE.

Do MG actually listen to feedback?

You also have to remember that it's a national characteristic for Chinese people to not publicly acknowledge mistakes but instead to deal with them in private. In terms of MG this means that they do not comment on issues raised and only retrospectively fix them when forced to. If you cannot...

    Home chargers

Intelligent is not a simple tariff but packages up the demand from the connected EVs and factors this into Octopuses mix of electricity. Octopus uses a 3rd party to do this who integrate with the vehicles via the public API provided by the manufacturer. But MG don't provide a public API. Ohme...

    Charging on Tesla Supperchargers Blocked

No, it's much more expensive than Go. Which is why Octopus are keeping non-EV owners off of Go and Intelligent. They lose money on the off-peak hours and make it on peak in comparison to standard variable. The market has been distorted by the price cap which only is intended for single rate...

Use EV wall charger as outside plug

It is, and there are two ways if you have an untethered charge point: Fit a changeover switch to an outdoor socket. Buy a device that emulates the car and makes the circuit live. Some people use these to plug into public charge points although it's against most operators rules. Both are good...
