Yeah I believe the import/export limits will be covered in the g99 application to the dno, anything below 3.76Kw can be installed without permission but obviously that advantage is cancelled out by the lower limits permitted.
Are you using the all in one and do you ever exceed it's maximum output. I'm a total newbie so have zero experience, does it just switch to the grid if you exceed it or does it just draw the difference
I'll be going solar on my next house, probably 3 years away, where I intend to stay a while longer to hopefully see a decent return. The batteries will be easy & cost nothing to transport and reinstallation with new DNO application costs will get wrapped up with the solar installation. I'm not...
I wanted the giv energy and reached out to them a couple of months ago and then again last week regarding connection of the all in one's in parallel and they were honest in saying it's something they are currently testing but don't know when it will be rolled out. Unfortunately I work nights...
The all in one can only manage 6kW continuous charge/ discharge rate and can't be wired in parallel which is why I'll need either 3 smaller inverters wired in parallel or 1 bigger one to deliver the higher rates I desire to be able to run the whole house and charge my EV when needed during peak...
Has any one had experience with either of these home storage batteries. I've got an installer lined up and I'm between 3 givenergy 9.5's with 3 of the 3 kW AC coupled inverters or 7 Fox ESS 4800 batteries (1 master & 6 slaves) with the fox kh10 hybrid inverter. Interested in any...
The GivEnergy is currently my front runner, their site says being able to connect them in parallel is coming soon but don't know when soon is!
Can't seem to find this, is it accessible through a browser or is it app only
I can only fit a maximum of 6 high efficiency panels on my west facing side so the cost of all the scaffolding etc for me being at the property for 4 years at a stretch will return very little on my investment. The east facing side is a flat roof dormer and even the sloping west side has a...
Thanks. I've already talked to my dno over the phone stating the sizes and usage I mentioned and they were fine by it. In fact the example they said they'd have more of an issue around was if I opted for a large solar array and was trying to export to the grid on a sunny summer's day when there...
Hi all I'll list my current usage scenario before asking for advice.
I currently use circa 15kwh daily household usage, 24kwh 5 times a week usage for my commute.
Fixed rate tariff ends in September.
Looking at moving in 3 years and only have a small area on my west facing roof available for...
