    Retail Park Charging

Local ASDA has 4 3kw chargers. Usually 2 out of order and one permanently in use by the store manager. Frequently iced. I don't even try.

    Electricity prices to rise?

Probably my fault. I left Avro for Octopus and Zog and it changed over last week. Fortunately have my last bill downloaded and final readings. I calculate I now owe them around £30.

Rapid charger network list with costs (main networks only) UK & Ireland

Hello Stuart. Great list of Rapid charger - very useful. Unfortunately the situation with fast chargers seems a lot more complex. For example, I have some chargers near me which come under "Charge Your Car". I think they are council owned. If used with the Charge Your Car app there is a £1...

    Second consumer unit

The main purpose of the fuse / breaker is to protect the cable. Your second consumer unit will need to be at the meter end. The charger end will just terminate in the charger connection box or you can have a commando socket installed and the Ohme cable with a commando plug. The commando socket...

BP Pulse rapid charging customer satisfaction poll - share your experiences

Locally there is a 16Amp free one in ASDA which I have used a couple of times - worked without any problems. There are chargers in the town centre car parks. Due to lockdown, I have not yet tried them (also avoiding ASDA due to the non mask wearing horde hordes and the charging bays frequently...

    Overcharged by bpPulse

Had my second ever invoice come in from bpPulse. This one included the first subscription charge - bit pointless as we currently cannot go anywhere. Problem is that there is a £3.33 charge for using a rapid-combo charger. (The app says unknown location but the invoice has the address). I have...

Anyone used the recovery included with LV insurance?

I am insured with LV. Just wondering if anyone has experience of the recovery option LV include? Anyone heard of AFF? (I have breakdown included via my bank, there is the MG AA cover / lease company cover and also LV for running put of charge, so spoilt for choice). With the change to an EV...

Dealer requests daily insurance on loan car while mine is being serviced

My policy has the words "Comprehensive cover will apply to any car loaned or hired to the policyholder and any named driver under our Recommended Repairer Service or by a garage or vehicle repairer while the vehicle in 1a) is in for service, repair or MOT. It's worth checking - other sections...

Dealer requests daily insurance on loan car while mine is being serviced

I had a courtesy car for a month. It was covered by my own insurance (LV). I had to show them the policy - fortunately I had it saved to google drive and I could show it on my phone. (In the section that describes your car). If you don't have your own cover, then £12 is not unusual.

    Octopus Go or Agile

I know - but not spotted many that do gas on it's own and the couple I found are not even close to what I have now.

    Octopus Go or Agile

Thanks - I am not against the idea of octopus or agile. I shall be keeping it under review. Currently its just the significantly higher cost for gas that wipes out the the estimated savings. One I have better usage data it may tip the balance.

    Octopus Go or Agile

Only had the car for less than 2 weeks (Spread out over 7 weeks due to it going faulty). I have used a rough estimate of 2000kWh extra a year on Electric, to compare energy providers. Currently with Avro energy - 10 months to go. A standard energy comparison shows nothing else is cheaper :) ...

    Charging Apps and Vendors

Finding all the different public charging options a bit bewildering. I now have about 8 apps downloaded, a polar RFID card and 2 other cards in the post. This article was helpful. Which electric car charging networks operate in the UK? But finding that some networks / apps / cards overlap is...

    Say Hello

Frustrated new EV driver here. 10 days after delivery my SZ Red car developed a charging fault, 2 weeks later and there are 5-6 weeks to go before it will be fixed. Fortunately they loaned me the petrol version so I still have wheels. I was minutes away from trying an OHME cable when the granny...
