FM broadcasting is a method of radio broadcasting that uses frequency modulation (FM) of the radio broadcast carrier wave. Invented in 1933 by American engineer Edwin Armstrong, wide-band FM is used worldwide to transmit high-fidelity sound over broadcast radio. FM broadcasting offers higher fidelity—more accurate reproduction of the original program sound—than other broadcasting techniques, such as AM broadcasting. It is also less susceptible to common forms of interference, having less static and popping sounds than are often heard on AM, but with a more limited broadcast distance. Therefore, FM is used for most broadcasts of music and general audio (in the audio spectrum). FM radio stations use the very high frequency range of radio frequencies.

    Radio will not re-tune

    On my 2021 Mk2 ZS EV the radio has become stuck on DAB Radio 3, regardless of what I select. The screen changes to anything I select on DAB or FM, but still plays R3. Anyone how to un -stick the tuner?

    Radio reception woes

    I have a problem with my FM radio reception constantly fading in and out. At first I thought it might have been interference from my rear dashcam but after disconnecting the power to the camera it hasn't improved. Is this a shared problem and/or does anyone have a 'fix'?

    DAB Radio

    Anyone else think the DAB radio is rubbish compared to the ZS. It drops out all the time even on Radio 2 which makes it unlistenable. FM is not much better so have to use my data on Spotify.

    Radio resets to FM when turned on.

    I have my radio set to DAB and my preferred radio station (Boom Radio) is preset. However, whenever I get into the car it resets to FM Radio 2! How do I stop this please?
