12V battery - how is it charged and how do I charge it?

In this case if no of any electricity, can we ask AA to help charge the buttery and start the car?

This is not normal behaviour, a battery should last much longer than that. You have to test the battery, a dealer can do this if you don't have the equipment. If the battery is ok you may have an electrical fault that is slowly draining the 12v battery.
I once went to a dealer and they really ripped me off. So no more MG dealers for me.
They told me that discharge phenomenon was due to a failing part in the programming, leaving the DAB radio powered occasionally when the car is shut down. This required a firmware update, and the battery was fine they said. Ripped me off and charged me Eur. 550,00 as the car needed a regular service just in order to keep the factory warranty. All they did was putting checkmarks on a list.
6 Months later: flat battery again.

Whenever you want to have general things done like changing battery/bulbs etc, and you can't do these things yourself, any garage can do this for you for usually far less than the MG dealerships.

Regarding the issue of going flat too soon: I replaced my 12V 60Ah Bosch battery and went for a VMF semi-traction battery of 75Ah.

These are slightly longer, but you will notice there is a second mounting hole for the battery holder clamp that is exactly made for this purpose of these larger batteries. (Marked red in the picture below). Semi traction batteries are much more reliable and last longer and can be discharged a lot deeper than regular car batteries. Specially in colder climates, these are the batteries you want instead.
