2 days in and the ac vent flap broken

Totally agree about the build quality. Me too doesn’t fiddle with vent flaps often. It was just the first time i tried to set it in position for me and it snapped ?

I will just be happy if they fix it. I will never touch it again.

This is interesting. We bought a new MG4 EV in Australia. Same thing happened it just broke exactly like yours. the dealer who sold us the car in Gateshead Newcastle, NSW. Is saying it is not covered by warranty and they don’t believe us it just broken when being adjusted normally. the dealer is refusing to fix and MG Australia has not returned our request for them to contact us. I was so looking forward to getting this EV car. I’m not confident that any future issues are going to be addressed by MG. I’m hoping this isn’t the start of more things to come. I’m interested to know if warranty covered your vehicle in UK.

same thing happened to me just now, 5 weeks of ownership. Did they fix it for you in the end? I am @Brisbane.

Hi Shelvin. Sorry to hear you had the same thing happen. I have had no response from MG Australia and still nothing from my local dealer who sold the car to me. I am awaiting a response from NSW Fair trading. I feel thing is a fault with the MG4 or perhaps a batch of vents. I truly hope you get a better response than I have. It’s been very disappointing. I love the car other than this, but it will be the last MG I ever own. I don’t care for the after sales treatment. I will update any response I receive.

Has it actually snapped something or has it flexed and pulled out of the end?
If it's the latter it might flex and clip back into place.

Does anyone have the part number for the whole vent system as the dealership in Barbados does not have the part and have quoted an exorbitant price for importing it. I can order it online if I had the part number for the inner system as well as the outer vent trim. The dealership here says they will not give me the part number
